We describe a system that controls various devices such as sensors or home appliances in heterogeneous networks. This system can deal with unified devices by interconnecting them in networks using different communication protocols and integrating them, and it is possible to view sensing data and control home appliances with mobile devices. Moreover, as they all communicate through a Web server, it is possible to achieve a cooperative device service using the Web browsers of mobile devices. We implemented a service where a user set a value for a sensor with his/her Web browser, and when the sensor displayed its value, the Web server automatically controlled a specific appliance.
