In this paper, an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna fed by microstrip-line with dual band-notched characteristics is presented in this paper. The 3.5 / 5.5GHz dual band-notched characteristics are obtained by inserting a C-shaped slot to the radiating patch, and embedding a pair of inverted L-shaped slots into the ground plane respectively. The proposed antenna is simulated by the HFSS software, than; the prototype antenna is fabricated and measured. The measured results show that the good patterns and gains within the operating frequency band are obtained.
