In this paper, in order to lower the maximum peak side-lobe of MIMO radar, sparse array optimization and particle swarm optimization(PSO) are used. By restricting the maximum and minimum spacing of the adjacent elements, symmetric, asymmetric array in the receiver and in transmitter-receiver are experimented. The result of experimental simulation demonstrates that the PSO combing sparse array for suppressing side-lobe is effective.
