A comparison between the luminance compensation method and other color picture transmission systems

To improve conventional color picture transmission systems, the luminance compensation method is proposed. It compensates the luminance perturbation at the transmitter side that occurs due to changes of the chrominance signal. Incompatible transmission systems show no significant advantages compared to the luminance compensation method.<
