More solar energy is collected by the end of the day if solar receivers are installed with a tracker system. A solar tracking system is designed to optimize the operation of solar energy receivers. In this paper, a solar tracking system is modeled using Matlab/Simulink and a fuzzy logic control is designed for the control of this system. However, instead of one type of membership function, different structures of fuzzy membership functions are used in the FLC design stage. The proposed controller is combined with the system and the results are obtained for each membership functions in Matlab/Simulink environment. So, we decided that which membership function is more suitable for this system.
