As to conduct the wind power generation experimental research in laboratory, a feasible scheme which simulates the characteristics of wind turbine using the synchronous motor controlled by servo controller was proposed. The operational principle of the wind turbine was analyzed and the mathematical model of the wind turbine was built. The wind turbine simulation system has been designed on the basis of studying the vector control principle of servo control system. The system consists of B&R Programmed Computer Controller (PCC), servo controller, synchronous motor and hysterics absorption dynamometer. The B&R servo controller has been adapted to control the synchronous motor to simulate the performance characteristic of the wind turbine. The simulation results in MALAB/SIMULINK and the experimental results in platform has confirmed the validation of the plan..
