We demonstrate the optical induction of photonic structures with different complex geometries in a nonlinear photorefractive crystal. Among the discussed lattices, there are members of all four fundamental families of nondiffracting beams. Given these complex photonic entities, we investigate their influence on linear and nonlinear light propagation.
