License Plate Recognition System is the core component of the modern intelligent traffic management system. According to the principle of license plate recognition, we designed a license plate recognition method based on machine vision technology. It was through computer vision system to capture license plate images. We used morphological processing and blob analysis algorithms of machine vision software HALCON to process image and extract features. Then a trained classifier was used for feature matching and plate identification.
