This tutorial explains in detail the creation of a Web-based application using the MATLAB Web Server (MWS) toolbox of MATLAB. It aims to enable readers who are familiar with MATLAB but don't have Web-programming skills to prepare their own Web-based applications. Three Web-based virtual laboratories, AntenGUI, SSPEGUI, and FilterGUI, created using MWS, are presented. The AntenGUI application illustrates the array factor of linear, rectangular, and circular arrays. The SSPEGUI application visualizes radiowave propagation over a non-smooth Earth's surface through a non-homogenous atmosphere. The FilterGUI tool designs lumped-element (LC) filters, and obtains the corresponding transmission-line and microstrip-line filters. These Web-based virtual tools can be accessed on the Internet.
