Aiming at the current situation of information management and sharing in all Fossil Power Plant, this paper outlines the basic concepts of DW, introduces a method using Data Warehouse (DW) technology in the platform. This paper has analyzed subjects of DW in Fossil Power. Basing on DW, the model has been developed with dimensional modeling technology, a model of information sharing platform has been introduced based on this. It can realize information sharing through the storage and visiting for data warehouse. The application of DW technology can maximize the value of information in Fossil Power Plant and has all important role in improving data sharing degree.
