Gene tr ansfer introduced by physical methods is widely used for its convenient operation, high transfer efficiency and no host distinctive limitation. In this article pSV-β-Gal plasmid was induced into osteoblast cells successfully by laser microbeam method and ul trasound method, and β-Gal gene was highly expressed. The optimal conditions for the ultrasound and laser microbeam methods of gene transfer were obtained.
