In the past, we have proposed a fully-integrated SIP+HCoP-B scheme to provide efficient mobility management of the nested mobile network. In this paper, we extend our previous works by adopting the analytical model proposed in [1] to investigate performances of SIP+HCoP-B and other well-known schemes over error-prone wireless links. Based on the radio link protocol to detect packet losses and performs retransmissions on the wireless link, we first analyze performance metrics and then perform numerical calculations for them. Consequently, SIP+HCoP-B achieves the shortest session initialization and handoff latencies, which exhibits its benefits on supporting SIP in the nested mobile network even over error-prone wireless links.
