This paper presents a general framework for the simulation of remote sensing image time series with spatial, textural, spectral and temporal realistic characteristics. The main goal of this work is to be able to produce data which is representative of the kind of images which will be acquired by future space Earth observation missions as for instance VENμS, Sentinel 2 or LDCM. This simulated data will be used for time series image analysis algorithm development and validation.
