New recurrence relations that can stably transfer the tangential electromagnetic field between different boundaries are proposed in this paper. Compared to the traditional method, such recurrence relations have lower computational complexity. Numerical tests show that the new method shares the same stability as the traditional one while gaining the computational efficiency. Such new recurrence relationships can be directly used to construct the dyadic Green's function of electrically uniaxial planar-layered media.
