Modeling and simulation technique of adjustable speed drive systems using EMTP

This paper presents the EMTP simulation technique for transient studies of adjustable speed drive systems. The switching circuit and the control system are represented as models in the MODELS software element. Based on the type-19 UM module and MODELS module, proper interfacing techniques are used to complete the simulation.
