Home automation systems have been utilized for smart homes. In this work, a home automation system based on multi-port power electronic interface is proposed. This system is potentially capable of power management as well as home automation. Remote power management of smart appliances is performed using ZigBee network. A case study is presented to show effectiveness of this system.
