A new circuit concept based on the use of a single floating gate transistor with a dual-control gate is presented. This device which is derived from a Flash memory cell, offers many possibilities for circuit design through two operating modes in straightforward manner: (i) the threshold voltage adjustable mode, where the dual-control-gate floating-gate transistor (DCG-FGT) behaves like a MOS transistor with an electrically adjustable threshold voltage, or (ii) a mixer signal mode where the DCG-FGT can mix two independent signals.
