This paper investigates mobile robot navigation algorithms in unknown two-dimensional environments with the aim of improving performance using WSN technology. The algorithms which perform such navigation are called Bug Algorithms. Existing algorithms are implemented on a robot developing system called Boe-bot and their performances are measured and analyzed. The implementation part is done on Boe-bot equipped with Waspmote WSN module enabling the wireless control ability. This work uses Webots which is a popular commercial mobile robot simulation software developed by Cyberbotics Ltd.
