In this paper, a propagation model is presented for the bit-error outage probability (BEOP) in distributed single-input multiple-output (SIMO) correlated rain-fading channels. The general case of unbalanced spatial-diversity reception is considered. Such rain-fading channels usually represent terrestrial millimeter-wave line-of-sight (LOS) broadband fixed-wireless-access (BFWA) channels, operating at frequencies above 10 GHz. Useful numerical results regarding the validity of the proposed model are obtained to investigate the effects of spatial correlation and unequal diversity branch gains on the bit-error outage. The flexibility and global-scale applicability of the proposed propagation model for BEOP is also numerically demonstrated.
