Under the environment of mass customization how discrete manufacturing enterprises rapidly meet customer personalized and diversified demands, based on orders clustering, concurrent engineering thought is used and production scheduling is moved to the product design process. The product family establishment and update, personalized product configuration and production scheduling method are studied, and rapid product design system is established which contains customer demands, product family model, product configuration and production scheduling. Taking reducer for example the system is verified. The results show that the system can rapidly design the customers' personalized products, and effectively reduce costs.
