This paper presents a novel method in the synchronous reference frame to extract the reference compensating current for single-phase shunt active power filters. The effectiveness of the proposed method is investigated using a detailed mathematical analysis. The results confirm the excellent performance of the proposed strategy. Theoretical evaluations are verified through simulation results.
