Online PLC monitoring and network administering system for steel tube mill

This paper discusses an online PLC status monitoring and fault diagnosis system on PC for the steel tube mill of Bao-steel Works. The system can be incorporated in portable PCs to serve as a tool for PLC system monitoring or connected into a PC network to realize the centralized monitoring of the whole workshop. The paper describes the software function and its developing steps, and also gives a typical layout of the network.
