In order to realize energy saving in discrete manufactures, a manufacturing process optimization system was designed and implemented based on energy consumption. Firstly energy flow and energy information flow in manufacturing enterprises were analyzed aiming at dispersive energy consumption and the problem of product energy consumption calculation. Secondly the architecture and function structure were designed, and the program language adopted and database management technology were analyzed. Thirdly some key technologies adopted in the system were introduced to realize manufacturing information interaction and ensure security, stability, and interoperability of the information. Feasibility and effectiveness of the system were verified by a case of enterprise application.
