This article introduced one design which uses GPRS wireless communication and completes remote data transmission in multiterminal traveling wave fault location system, The transmission system uses C8051F310 single chip microcomputer as controller, Choose the EM310 GPRS wireless communication module, Through the GPRS network and Internet nets realize communication between traveling wave fault location device and monitoring center, and then quickly determine the exact fault location.
