Pray for the problem of high complexity on matrix eigenvalues and not easy hardware realization, this paper introduces a method based on cross-correlation matrix trace of modulus curve of the ESPRIT algorithm that doesn't need to calculate matrix eigenvalues and can be easy hardware implementation. This paper improves the computation, and simulation results show that the improved algorithm effectively reduced the amount of calculation. At the same time in the high Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), frequency estimation's performance is better than modulation Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm.
