Described a laser range-gating imaging principle, pointed out the key issues in system design, design and implementation of FPGA-based laser range-gating images systems. Pulse characteristics of laser light source, single pulse energy and the strobe imaging device performance will determine the range-gating imaging of the range resolution, detection range properties.
