The paper analyses energy-saving effect of variable applied voltage and light load operation, produces its main hardware circuit, designs the energy-saving Controller of AC motor based on the constant power factor. It is shown that such a controller can be used for energy-saving with optimum control. It can realize the function such as soft start, soft stop and general protection.
