The mobile geographic information service involves the domain of mobile communication, mobile computing, geographic information service and other techniques. Ad Hoc networks are infrastructureless networks formed by neighboring equipments with limited life, and are now envisioned as cornerstones of future generation networking technologies (B3G and 4G). This paper researches on the integration of above technologies and proposes architecture of mobile geographic information service based on the Ad Hoc network. On the base of this, the related works and key technologies in this model are also discussed.
