Communication probability depends on various soft and hard parameters. It depends on the link and communications parameters as well as device reliability. Communication probability for wireless sensor network is computed considering environmental parameters. Link probability is used to model the new communication model which takes into account the effect of environmental parameters to develop the reliability functions. The system is executed on MATLAB, where reliability library is developed and used. All parameter of reliability model is explored to great details to get an idea of the probability of communication, which includes survival rate function and failure rate function for the WSN (Wireless Sensor Network). Reliability is then observed as dependent not only on environmental parameters but also on the placement of the nodes. In such cases the coordinates of the nodes must be considered in construction of the model. The computation is done using simple exponential parameters. In our case the setup is scalable for more complex computations requiring high computation power, which can be achieved by using MATLAB HPC (High performance computing) toolbox.
