The didactic focus on algorithm visualization (AV) in CS education has been shifting to the construction of AV by students. Based on the principles of Constructivism and Constructionism and our observation, we propose approaches to constructing algorithm visualizations that may have been overlooked in the current practice of AV design, implementation and deployment.
