Maintainability character and index of armored equipment was analyzed in this paper, aiming at the insufficiency of traditional analysis and verification methods of maintainability, the methods of maintainability analysis and verification of armored equipment were put forward by virtual reality technology and concurrent engineering concept. The framework of virtual maintainability analysis and verification of armored equipment were studied, the basic principle and procedure of virtual analysis and verification maintainability were presented. Virtual maintainability analysis and verification effectively implemented the total optimization of equipment life cycle; they are feasible for the concurrent optimization design of equipment maintainability.
