Binocular vision can simulate the functions of human eyes. It has become a research hotspot in recent years. In this paper, a binocular visual surveillance system based on DM642 is designed. Firstly, the hardware structure of the system is given and the working principle of the system is analyzed in detail. Secondly, the software of the system is presented and analyzed in detail. At last, the experiment has been performed on the DM642 developing platform. The results show that the system achieves the dual channels real-time video acquisition and display and have good performance.
