Advantages of dusty plasma structure analysis using spatial spectra received by means of fast Fourier transform of dusty structure image are illustrated by simulated experiments and by processing actual images of dusty structures in glow discharge in inert and molecular gases. It is shown that this method allows discovering a hidden order in a dusty structure and that it is highly robust against noise.
