A two-dimensional nested regional hydrodynamic model of Bohai is established, in which Alternating Direction Implicit method (ADI) is applied in dispersing shallow water circulation equation and chasing method is applied in solving equation groups. The water boundary of the model is defined by the harmonic analysis method. Oil spill schema adopted in the model describes the barycenter trajectory of the spilled oil effected by of wind and flow, and the result is validated in a water channel experiment. Oil spill model is set up based on the hydrodynamic model and oil spill schema. Instantaneous and continuous oil spill from static point source are calculated with or without wind effect, then continuous oil spill from moving point source is simulated. This mathematical modeling provides a complete exemplification to research on oil spill on the sea.
