The electric drive is a main component of industrial equipment designed for small or large complexity, because the achievement of finished goods implies the adjustable mechanical energy available at the output of the system. Among the electric machines available on the market, the induction machine is widespread used because of its simplicity and light sustenance. Because the static converters are needful in such a system, the evolution of the converter's command sub-systems was also needful, to improve their performance. The aim of this paper is the experimental comparative analysis of the three PWM modulation methods for a voltage inverter fed drive system using induction motors (space-vector modulation, sinusoidal modulation and trapezoidal modulation). The comparative analysis is done under form of dependencies of efficiency, power factor and supplementary loses introduced by each method versus sinusoidal voltage supplying. The experimental data processing under Matlab Simulink highlights the load torque and frequency influence on power quality indicators.
