The diversity and personal requirements of services has increased the need for a service platform. The web is considered to be a suitable way to deliver data but it has many restrictions. A service overlay network can provide additional functions to integrate and/or converge existing services. This paper proposes a modified DSON architecture to solve these problems. Also, this paper proposes a service model, scenario, and implementation of a web-based multimedia service using a service overlay network platform.
