In renewable green energy, the wind power generation has been attracted as the most cost-effective ways to generate electricity from renewable sources. The amount of wind power constantly increased recently all over the world. The power ratings of wind farms have reached considerably high, being required by the new grid code requirement. Because the influence of wind power generation system on the grid can't be overlooked. In this paper, the low voltage ride through (LVRT) performance of PMSG wind turbine generation (WTG) is studied. So, it must be able to comply with the grid code. However, the grid code of WTG varies from country to country. In the LVRT performance, simple and flexible algorithm for grid code requirements is proposed and demonstrated using PSIM. 10kW level prototype inverter is set and verification experiment was conducted using Grid Fault simulator.
