A two-inductor loaded small loop antenna for mobile phone applications is presented. To optimise the loop antenna, positions and values of the two inductors in the loop antenna are changed by a simple genetic algorithm. The algorithm makes the antenna operate in GSM and DCS bands. Simulated results are compared with measured results and good agreement is reported.
