Nonlinear channels suffer from intermodulation distortion degrading signal quality and preventing amplifiers from achieving a good performance. Classically, frequency plans are optimised manually using heuristic rules. This contribution presents an automatic optimisation procedure based on simulated annealing and guided by C/(N+I) maximising criteria. Significant improvements in channel performance are achieved
