A new anti-multipath multiuser detector called the path-coherence multiuser detector (PCMUD) is presented. The high coherence between multipath signals of the same user is utilised to cut down computation complexity, as well as realise multipath diversity. Theoretical analysis and computer simulation both show that the new detector can combat multipath interference and MAI effectively
