The authors report 1.5 W single-frequency output power at 1.357 μm from a diode-pumped Nd:YAG ring laser. Suppression of the close neighbouring transitions at 1.319 and 1.338 μm is accomplished by a sophisticated optical coating deposited by the ion-beam-sputtering technique.
