This paper presents software dedicated to medical equipment's maintenance, and shows the benefits to clinical engineering firms and / or service providers which work with good tools. The differences among maintenance software go further than automation of routine processes. This kind of software is generally called Maintenance Management System (MMS). A MMS dedicated to medical area includes fundamental features for clinical engineering, as the automatic monitoring of the registration's validities from ANVISA. The case study described here presents data from medical equipment's service provider along a period of 20 months. This paper shows how the right investment in information technology can directly benefits companies in financial, technical and logistical terms.
