A method based on a hybrid finite element-boundary element formulation for time domain analysis of magnetic field problems is presented. The problem domain is allowed to contain several objects moving relatively to each other. The relative movement can be a prescribed function or the movement can be part of the simulated solution. Simple external circuit equations are added to the field equations. Only 2D problems are treated. Simulations including a direct on-line start of an induction motor are presented
