This paper presents a DC biased hysteresis control method for a high power factor (HPF) single-phase AC/DC converter, which shows the advantages of fixed switching frequency continuous current operation even at zero crossing period and under light load condition, and therefore more decreased total harmonic distortion (THD) and much higher power factor (PF) of the input line. Parameter design and computer simulation, as well as experimental results are discussed
