A simultaneous X/Ka feed system has been designed to cater for reflector antennas with a F/D ratio of 0.8. This work is an extension of the successful design of the initial X/Ka feed system that was designed for reflectors with a F/D ratio of 0.65. Although simple in concept, this move from F/D=0.65 to F/D=0.8 is not an easy task from a design point of view.
