This paper took 20KW the horizontal axis wind turbine as an example to research in the optimum design of the blade aerodynamic contour. According to the design process of Wilson method, this paper has solved the program of the optimum calculation using MATLAB tools. The coordinates of discrete points on the blade elements were obtained by coordinate conversion. The three-dimensional surface model of the blade was then drawn using 3D modeling software-Solidworks. At last, the blade model's static and modal analyses were made by using ANSYS based on the actual structure. The final results have taken an essential foundation for structure design of the blade.
