First, the High-rise building structure design process is divided into two relevant steps, that is, structure form-selection and structure arrangement. The origin system structure used in those two steps with applications of CBR, RBR, FINS, NN and GA is given. As many as 1008 high-rise building cases are collected and stored in the case-base using object oriented technology. The rule-base of structure forms in present building codes is also given. Second, the CBR, RBR, FINS and NN based structure form selection methods, CBR and GA based structure arrangement and its origin system are presented. In the process of candidate structure forms generating, performance evaluation and optima selection, similar structure arrangement generating and the overall structure system reusing and modifying, methods like CBR RBR FINS, NN, GA are used. The given example proves the method can handle the knowledge of engineering cases, codes and expert experiences effectively. By using the expert intelligence, algorithm intelligence and machine intelligence, the results can be more reliable and direct than before. And it will help improve the quality and efficiency of design of high-rise building structures.
