Network video monitoring technology used in water monitoring is discussed according to practical situation of pollution (water) real-time remote monitoring. Local telecom internal virtual broadband network VPN is used by every monitoring station's video monitoring subsystem, and constitute a complete net work video monitoring system. It is demonstrated by analysis and experiment that the pollution monitoring system for good reliability and real-time can be met preferably. As a result, monitoring station can be unmanned substation.
