NTP (Non-thermal Plasma) is one of a promising applications for decontamination of particulate matter, but the research on the chemical components of particulate matter treated by plasma is poor. Particulate matter collected by plasma reactor and filters with NTP action and without NTP action was measured by TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis). The chemical reactions between radical and particulate matter were researched. And GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry) was used to analyze the PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) of particulate. The experimental results indicate that after the NTP reaction, the rate of SOF(Soluble Organic Fraction) and DS (Dry Soot), and the concentration of inorganic salt on particulate both increase, and the content of PAHs is lowered.
