A modified particle swarm optimisation (PSO) algorithm, the dynamic PSO, is proposed to obtain a better convergence rate, thus increasing the overall efficiency of the algorithm. To prove the effectiveness of the method, wire antennas operating over a wide frequency range have been optimised and tested.
